My name is Marjolein Roozen and I am a writer, communication specialist and project manager. Over the past six years I have worked with numerous cultural organizations in order to share their programs with the world. Among them were Het Nieuwe Instituut, Jazz International Rotterdam and Villa Zebra.
Currently I’m residing in Bergen, Norway, where I’m working for the cultural department of the municipality (Bergen Kommune) as a project manager and consultant.
My areas of expertise include culture and art and I have a specific interest in literature, theater and art education. Lately I’ve been learning much about sustainable fashion. Aside from writing articles on this topic, I’ve also started Clothing Swap Bergen and am creating and selling sustainable (gift)bags.
After having finished the bachelor programme Arts, Culture and Media at Groningen University I graduated from the master Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 2014. Following, I took writing lessons at the Poetry Academy, the Schrijversvakschool and with poet Peter Swanborn amongst others. See my LinkedIN page for more information.
